Biography
Daniel Etter is a freelance photojournalist currently based in Istanbul, Turkey. He is graduate of the German School of Journalism, holds a master’s degree in political science and a university diploma in journalism.
His work has appeared in The New York Times, Time Magazine, Stern, The International Herald Tribune, Courrier International, Corriere della Serra, Christian Science Monitor, Neon, and various others. His non-governmental clients include the International Committee of the Red Cross and Misereor.
In 2006 he was awarded with the Award of Excellence of the Alexia Foundation and received a honorable mention at the International Photography Awards. Recently he has been nominated for the UNICEF Picture of the Year Award.
In 2009 he drove with his old Land Rover from Cologne to Iran, lost a tooth and quickly drove back.
