A campaign poster seen in Cairo, Egypt, Nov. 28, 2011. Candidates in the elections get sometimes bizarre symbols assigned. Amomng them are a rocket, a cashier and an onion. The symbols help illiterate voters to identify their candidate on the ballot papers.

According to rumors, the candidate with the onion was not happy about the election symbol he got. The candidate with the crocodile symbol insisted that it is clearly a male crocodile, even though his opponents suggested that it has certain female traits….
